Hi, I am Julie Strickland.

I am a wife and a mom of two young girls living in Birmingham, AL. For most of my working career, I worked as an RN in the ER at Children's, and as a Labor and Delivery nurse at UT Hospital. I became a stay at home mom after having my first daughter. I have spent much of 2 years studying photography, hired a photography mentor, and have used a career coach to help get me where I am today in my business. I love photography and work hard to make my clients over the moon happy!

My life experiences have shaped me into the photographer that I am. I've seen miracles and tragedy, and desperately want to honor and cherish what God has given us all. Seeing families interact during a photo session reminds me what is most important in life. Losing my father early in life, and having very few pictures of him, gives me a unique perspective as I see you through my lens.

When I am doing a photoshoot, my goal is to capture your connection with each other – whether it be between a little boy adoring his mom or an older sister tickling her baby brother – I want to capture real moments in your family’s life. I want you to smile every time you walk by the image on your wall.

Looking back at the pictures of me rocking my baby in her nursery, I forget about the sleepless nights and all I see is the connection that my daughter and I had at that moment in time. That’s why I love photography so much. We can freeze the cherished moment and return to it time after time.

You'll find that I'm a very laid back person which makes for a relaxed, fun session! You'll leave the session wondering how that ended up being so much fun! My goal is to create stunning imagery, but to also help create a great lasting memory. Our time together will be seamless and light-hearted. I work hard to make sure the entire process is stress free for my clients from start to finish, with the end result being images to be treasured for years to come.
